New TCI Instructor – Alex Gravenall

TACT is excited to join with the RCCP in welcoming Alex (Alexandria) Gravenall as a consultant in TCI.

Alex is a Human Services graduate who has been working in the out of home care sector for 10 years, in direct care work (Residentials and Fostering Services) in numerous roles including Youth Work and Case Work/Management. Since 2020 Alex has been in a Training Officer role supporting services. Alex was first introduced to TCI in 2012 when working as a Residential Youth Worker and from 2014 – 2019 used TCIF when providing support to Foster Carers. In 2019 Alex became an Associate trainer for TCI and TCIF. In 2022, Alex was invited to become a TCI Instructor for Cornell University and has been assisting with TCI Train the Trainer programs for new TCI Trainers across Australia.

Currently, Alex is based in Brisbane and, when not consulting for TACT, works with Churches of Christ Care providing training and implementation support for all Children, Youth and Families services across Queensland. Through this work, Alex has been able to deepen her knowledge and application of the TCI/F system in various service types specifically within the context of Child Protection in Queensland. Alex also provides other direct care training to services including; Sanctuary, Circle of Security, Bringing up Great Kids, Tuning into Teens as well as tailored professional development sessions and will shortly be adding Mental Health First Aid to the suite.

Alex enjoys working with direct care staff, foster carers and biological parents to provide the best level of care to the children they look after to ensure they have the best possible outcomes.
